MEDICATION PROFILE

This shows a list of all Medications associated with the patient under the selected certification period.
The status that will show on the medication profile will be the most recent status of the medication.
Other details such as Drug Purchase History, Purchase Detail, Medication History, Link, Drug Interaction, Drug Details, Drug Handout, Medical Snapshot, and option to set the NDC are also available here.

MEDICATION PROFILE MENUS

As of date - This shows the most recent medications and their corresponding status based on the date provided.
Medication Search Box - The user can type in the medication name and click search/refresh for it to show up in the list.
Print – The user has an option to print out the list of all the medications of the patient.
Update Medication - This is where the user can update, change, and discontinue a medication by creating an order.
Hide Inactive Checkbox - If checked, discontinued medications will also appear in the medication profile list.
Show All fields Checkbox - If checked, additional details/columns will show in the medication profile list to display more information.

Drug Purchase History - This will show the drug purchase history of the highlighted or selected medication.
Purchase Detail - This will display the purchase detail of the highlighted or selected medication.
Medication history - This documents what were added, updated, and discontinued.
Link - This is for linking medication with the same parent medication.
Drug Interaction - This will show all the possible reactions for the highlighted or selected medication. This is also for drug regimen review for nurses.
Drug Details - This displays all the details of the highlighted or selected medication such as prescriptions, adverse drug reaction, indications, etc.
Drug Hand-out - This will show a reference from PEPID for the highlighted or selected medication.
Take snapshot - This will let the user take a picture of all the medications currently used by the patients.
View snapshots - This will show the user all the snapshots that were taken.

UPDATING MEDICATION/S

Two ways of updating a patient medication:

1. Creating an Order

Go to Orders in the Patient Chart, located within the selected certification period.
Click the “Add” button to create new order.
Fill out the order date and select the order type.
Make sure to check the physician field if it is the right physician.

Go below the medication box and choose from its menu buttons to do the updates.

Use Template – The user can use this if the user has a template for medication. Click the button and select the template, then click “Use Selected.”

2. Update Medication from Medication Profile

Go to the Medication Profile in the Patient Chart, located within the selected certification period.
Click “Update Medication” to open a new order.
The user can then follow the steps stated above.

After creating the order, the user can then electronically sign it. The order's status is located below the order's menu.
