EXPORTING NON-MEDICARE OASIS

Important Considerations for OASIS Export

Before you proceed, please keep these important details in mind:

Start of Care (SOC) M0090 Dependency: For proper batching of OASIS assessments, the M0090 Date Assessment Completed must be before July 1, 2025, and the patient's primary insurance can't be Medicare.
Multiple OASIS Assessments per Episode: Our system now lets you export intermediate OASIS assessments even when a patient has multiple assessments between their Start of Care (SOC) and discharge. Batch exporting multiple OASIS assessments completed before the cutoff date works as expected.
Start Date vs. Intake Date: If the SOC date falls after the intake date, you'll need to submit the OASIS assessments in chronological order.

Follow these steps to filter for and export OASIS assessments for patients with private insurance.

1. From the main Menu, navigate to Batch Tools and select OASIS Export. This will direct you to the OASIS Export page.

2. In Step 1 of the export process, locate the filters to select the assessments you need to export.

3. Click the payer filter and select Private Insurance.

You can now choose to:

Search for a specific private insurance provider.
Choose All Private for all private insurance providers.

Follow these steps to filter for and export OASIS assessments for patients with private insurance.

1. From the main Menu, navigate to Batch Tools and select OASIS Export. This will direct you to the OASIS Export page.

2. In Step 1 of the export process, locate the filters to select the assessments you need to export.

3. Click the payer filter and select Private Insurance.

You can now choose to:

Search for a specific private insurance provider.
Choose All Private for all private insurance providers.

4. Click the Search button. The list will now display all OASIS assessments that match your private insurance filter criteria.

5. Select the assessments you want to export by clicking the checkbox next to each one.

6. Click the Batch button to prepare the selected OASIS files for download. The process from this point forward is the same as exporting Medicare OASIS data.

7. After the batch is created, proceed to Step 2 on the page. Here you can Download the OASIS file for submission to CMS or use the option to Mark your OASIS as submitted.
