There are two ways to mark Physician Telephone Orders as sent and received. Please note that the user can no longer make changes once the PTO has been received.
1. From the Summary page, select the Orders Tab. There are fields under TRACKING where you can put in the sent and received dates for each order.
2. Under Batch Tools, select Send/Receive.
The process is broken down into three: Physician Orders, Plan of Care, and Visit/Other Notes. The default page that loads up is Physician Orders – Batch Send.
To narrow down the list, you may select a filter to search by a patient or by physician and then click search.
The orders should be checked, and before clicking the Batch Send button on top of the listing, enter the Send Date to have these orders marked as sent.
Then select Batch Receive orders and repeat the same process in Batch Send.
