On the Patient’s Summary Page, click on “Order”.
Click on the "Physician Telephone Order” button which is located below the Patient’s Name.
Type in the first few characters of the last name of the signing care staff, on the Staff(s) for this order textbox, then select from the dropdown.
On the Caller Information section, enter the Caller, Phone Number and Time. (Order date is a required field).
Select the “Type of Order” from the dropdown list.
Type the Reasons, Intervention and Goals for the order. (Note: Clicking on the binoculars icon will display a dropdown list).
Once done, click the “Save” button located on the upper left on top of the Physician’s name.
Sign the order by clicking the “Electronically Sign” button. (It appears only after the order is successfully saved.)
Printer Buttons
Print All - This will print all the orders created in the Physician Telephone Orders Tab.
Print Selected - This will print selected (checked) orders created in the Physician Telephone Orders Tab.
Upload File button (for attachments) - located beside the Type of Order will allow the user to upload documents.
On the Mini Calendar found on the left-hand side of the Patient Summary Page, left click on the blue field on a specific day and then select “Add Physician Order”.
Go to the Main Visit Calendar by clicking on the “Visit Calendar” button located on top of the mini calendar. On the Main Visit Calendar Page, left-click on the blue area of a specific day and then select “Physician Order”.
