Requirements: All field users, case managers and clinical administrators can post information and instructions and make changes to this form if they have a HHC Ultra user’s account and have access to these sections.
Processing Private Insurance claims can be done at the Private Billing page under the Batch menu.
The process of generating claim is divided into three steps: Draft Claims, Batch Claims and Export Claims.
Step 1. The Draft Claims page displays all claims that are ready to be batched. Important information like the payer name, dates, number of visits, charges and system validation are available for each claim. Users can see these details the arrow facing down before the name of the patient is clicked. With this functionality, the user can see individual visits and billing records that will be included on the UB04 data that will be created.
Users can also change payer and code information upon expanding the details of the claim they are creating and clicking on the “UB04 Adjustment Panel”, the broken paper beside the payer name.
Documents ready for processing can be selected and moved from step to step, similar to the way Medicare Bills are created. Error or Warning Validation messages also show specifications on unaccomplished items. For printing UB04 on applicable formats, the amount must be clicked to show UB04 printing options.
The Date and Check Number fields are requisite information when creating a ledger entry on this section. The user can select the type of ledger code from the drop down option present on the page. To complete this set, the amount received should be set in the next field.
When the details appear, the user can now associate the claim to the ledger by clicking on the name of the patient.
